This project represents the feeling of nostalgia that I feel when I am in these places, around vibrant fields I have photographed and a reminiscence of the landscapes I have been surrounded by during my life. It was born from a desire to transmit to the viewer this feeling of peacefulness and happiness through images that are warm, homely, and serene and document the quieter, yet captivating, rural landscapes that are different to another side of Spain known for its active cities.
The title of the project was suggested by a close friend when showing her the images. It fits as it shows the perfect mix of these fields of nature and seaside that compose the area where I shot them in the Costa Brava, a coastal region of Catalonia in the northeast of Spain. There, I feel the most comfortable and there are no literal echoes, but the thoughts of memories and reminiscence of the past.
